ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences Travel Grants

“Each year, the College of Arts & Social Sciences may award up to seven awards to be known as the College of Arts & Social Sciences Travel Grant. The objectives of the award is to facilitate student exchanges and study abroad experiences for members of the College community.  Each year, two students will be funded to travel to both Kings College, London and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, one student will be funded to travel to Indiana University, USA, and the remaining award will be offered to students planning to go on exchange under the general Global Programs schemes and strengthen College ties with these Universities.”

Bhati Family India Travel Grant

"This annual grant is offered by the College of Asia and the Pacific. It is funded in perpetuity by the Bhati Family Endowment to foster regional interconnectedness and encourage talented students to build mutually beneficial relationships between Australia and India."

Max Hawk Travelling Scholarship in the School of Art

"The Scholarship is to assist a student who is enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program offered by the ANU School of Art, who has received approval for a period of study exchange at an overseas institution with which the School of Art has an approved exchange program, and who has demonstrated a high capacity for achievement in his or her chosen field of Arts practice. "

Jamie Mackie Southeast Asia travel grant

"The aim of the Jamie Mackie Southeast Asia Travel Grant is to promote Australia's engagement with Southeast Asia and/or Southeast Asia's engagement with Australia. This grant assists current students of the ANU College of Asia and Pacific to undertake research or study for which they will benefit from travel to Southeast Asia."

Vice-Chancellor’s coursework travel grants

"The Vice-Chancellor provides funding through ANU Global Programs to assist coursework students who meet specified criteria to facilitate learning abroad, enrich their academic experience and enable them to undertake approved periods of overseas short-term and semester study."

Asia and the Pacific Travel Grant

"The grant will assist current students of the ANU College of Asia and Pacific to undertake research or study for which they will benefit from travel to Asia or the Pacific. The aim of this grant is to promote the study of Asia and the Pacific"

Nicolas Baudin Program

"Launched as a pilot program in 2017, the Nicolas Baudin “Internship in France” initiative offers students from participating Australian universities the opportunity to undertake a research internship at a French host university in collaboration with an industry partner. The internship offers are jointly created by the French host university and its industry partner, and when relevant with the Australian partner university if the intern is enrolled within the framework of a pre-existing scientific collaboration."

The Bob D’Ottavi Scholarship

The Bob D'Ottavi Scholarship has been established by BEST Bricks & Pavers and the School of Architecture & Built Environment to support one student from the University of Adelaide who is undertaking a Masters of Architecture undertaking an exchange program to Ascoli Piceno, Italy.

Taplin Indigenous Bursary for International Education

The Taplin Indigenous Bursary for International Education has been established by Emeritus Professor John Taplin to support the expenses of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students or staff involving engagement with other First-Nations peoples overseas.
